Pharma Giants Pfizer, Chevron, and AbbVie Poised for Major Price Gains in 2027
Pfizer and Chevron are two of the largest dividend payers in the market, along with AbbVie. These pharmaceutical companies have reported significant growth in their stock prices this year, with Pfizer up 19.3%, Chevron surging 38.76%, and AbbVie adding 19.16%.
Pfizer trades at a forward P/E near 9 while paying a $1.72 annualized dividend yielding roughly 6.4%. At $35, shares would still trade under 12x the midpoint of 2026 guidance of $2.80 to $3. Pfizer has beaten EPS expectations in all ten of the last ten quarters and is expected to continue growing its dividends.
Chevron's future growth is also promising, driven by synergies from the Hess acquisition and a deal with Microsoft. The company just delivered $6.06 in adjusted Q2 EPS and $15.4 billion in free cash flow, with debt cut by more than $8 billion. Chevron has already stress-tested its finances for a Brent average of $79/b in 2027.
AbbVie's growth is also driven by its successful treatments, Skyrizi and Rinvoq, which each grew over 20% in Q2. The company posted Q2 revenue of nearly $17 billion, up 10.2%, with management raising full-year EPS to $13.87 to $14.07.
The price targets for these companies are ambitious, but analysts believe they can reach $35 for Pfizer, $250 for Chevron, and $325 for AbbVie in 2027. However, execution risk remains a challenge every year.
