Phoenix Man Indicted for Stealing $6,000 Worth of Power Tools
A man in Phoenix has been indicted for stealing over $6,000 worth of power tools from 17 Home Depot and Lowe's stores.
The Maricopa County Attorney's office says Luis Adrian Valle-Martinez stole the items between September 2025 and July 2026.
He allegedly used self-checkout machines to pay for low-cost items, then left the stores without paying for higher-cost tools, which he would sell on Phoenix streets.
The county attorney's office has been cracking down on organized retail theft rings in recent years, with Mitchell saying this crime is often used to fund other crimes.
