Pics Now Available in Google Workspace with Pro-Level AI Image Editing

Google has finally made its Pics image editing and creation tool available to all users after its announcement at I/O 2026 in May. This 'pro-level' AI-powered tool is built directly into Google Workspace, allowing users to access it from various apps like Docs and Slides.

Pics uses the Nano Banana technology for precise object-based image editing. Users can select individual objects within an image, edit text elements, crop images, upscale them to 2K or 4K, and even translate text in images without altering the rest of the content.

The tool also allows for collaborative editing and sharing via a link. Enterprise users can utilize Pics for various purposes such as creating social media assets, product designs, print materials, and more.
