Google has begun rolling out its Pics image editing app to subscribers of its Workspace plans. The app combines AI-generated images with fine-grained editing controls and is available to users on Google AI Pro, Ultra, Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, and Enterprise Plus plans.

Pics uses the company's Nano Banana image generator, which allows users to create images by writing a text prompt or uploading an existing image. The app offers object segmentation, enabling users to move, resize, and transform individual parts of an image.

Additionally, Pics can upscale images to 2K and 4K resolutions, process multiple edits at the same time, and translate embedded text in 29 languages. Google has integrated Pics with its other Workspace apps, allowing users to access editing controls directly within Docs and Slides.
