Pier Seven Aviation Advances Boeing 737 Type Rating Training for Indian DGCA Pilots
Pier Seven Aviation, a full flight simulator training center based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, has announced its latest cohort of Indian DGCA pilots is progressing through Boeing 737 type rating training. The training program, which combines theoretical and practical instruction, will be completed in September 2026.
The program requires participants to hold a Commercial Pilot Licence and valid Class 1 Medical before beginning the advanced training pathway. Pier Seven's published syllabus includes MCC/JOC, Jet Induction/Jet Orientation, and low-visibility training elements, as well as simulator phases covering training, LOFT, and checks.
The center's Boeing 737NG Full Flight Simulator received Indian DGCA approval in 2024, adding a second India-focused narrowbody type rating pathway alongside the center's Airbus A320 offering. Pier Seven states that its Sharjah operation provides more than 20,000 simulator hours of annual capacity and operates around the clock for individual pilots and airline customers.
