Pimax Shines at Microsoft Flight Simulator's Sixth Anniversary Celebrations
Microsoft Flight Simulator celebrated its sixth anniversary in style by handing the spotlight to several hardware makers, including Pimax. The sim's official team flew an eastbound trip around the world from Bordeaux and featured five brands along the way: MOZA, Next Level Racing, Pimax, Tobii, and WINCTRL.
Pimax was one of the highlighted brands, showcasing their Dream Air headset during the anniversary livestreams. This headset is designed for long flight sessions and weighs under 170 grams. It features dual Sony micro-OLED panels, eye tracking with dynamic foveated rendering, and a direct DisplayPort connection for PCVR.
The Pimax lineup offers different solutions to pilots' needs, from the widest field of view with the Crystal Super to the lightest headset with the Dream Air. The Crystal Light is a balanced option that provides strong visuals without moving to the highest-end tier. The sim's latest update, Sim Update 6, also arrived in the same week as the anniversary streams and brought improvements to foveated rendering.
