Piston Peak's Rally Ride Transformation Revealed at D23 Fan Event
Disney's D23 fan event has officially kicked off, bringing with it new details and concepts for the upcoming land, Piston Peak. Inspired by National Parks, specifically Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, this Cars-themed land at Magic Kingdom will feature two new attractions. One of these attractions is a rally race-themed ride that has undergone some significant changes.
The attraction's concept art shows a car driving through the track, surrounded by scenery including trees and mountains, a log cabin, and what appears to be a camera operator on the top left for potential photo opportunities. Another piece of artwork depicts guests in a yellow car crossing over a bridge across water, while the final image showcases the finish line, complete with Lightning McQueen, Mater, Guido, and Luigi.
The ride's models have been released, revealing that it will be similar to Radiator Springs Racers but without head-to-head racing. Instead, guests will experience a single track, making it feel more like a ride through Piston Peak than an actual competition.
