Pittsfield Native Bernard Mara Leaves Lasting Legacy in Local Community

Bernard Mara, an 87-year-old Pittsfield native, passed away in 2026. Born on April 18, 1939, he spent his career working with several local companies, including Coca-Cola Bottling Company and Marcon Distributors.

Mara attended Pittsfield High School's Class of 1957 and worked in various roles throughout Berkshire County. He drove for Kelly Dietrich Distributors until 1991 and later served as a member of the maintenance department at the Berkshire County Courthouse.

Bernie will be remembered by his loved ones, including his life companion Sharon Paris and her sons, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A strong work ethic defined Mara's career, and he was known for sharing love with his family and friends.
