Pixel 11 Camera App Gains Launch Control and Redesigned Quick Access Sliders
The Google Pixel camera app has been updated on the Pixel 11 series with new features. One of them is 'Launch control', which allows users to open the camera app straight to video mode or Magic Capture, defaulting to photo mode.
Another feature is 'Quick access', a customizable slider that appears as dial controls on either side of the display. This redesign of an existing feature was first introduced in 2024 and includes 'Looks' on the Pixel 11. However, these sliders are disabled by default and can only be accessed by tapping the screen.
The 'Quick access' sliders themselves are not always visible, requiring a tap to bring them up. This can be frustrating, especially since there's no indication of their existence until you tap the screen.
