Pixel 11 Pro Bug Creates Static Sounds in Recordings With Video Boost
Google's Pixel 11 Pro devices have been plagued by a bug that causes static sounds in recordings when using the Video Boost feature. Introduced on the Pixel 8 Pro, Video Boost leverages cloud processing to significantly enhance video quality, but it has an unintended consequence on the newer Pixel models.
The issue was first reported last week, with users sharing videos showcasing the problem on Reddit. The static bursts in audio are reminiscent of a Bluetooth device nearing its range limit. Several users have chimed in, confirming they've encountered the same issue.
A potential temporary fix for this bug involves clearing the cache on the Google Camera app and/or disabling Audio Zoom. However, it seems Google is already aware of the problem and may address it in future updates.
