Pixel 11 Pro Fold Falls Short of Expectations

Google's Pixel 11 Pro Fold is a folding phone that boasts two lovely OLED displays, an 8-inch main screen and a 6.5-inch cover screen, both with peak brightness of 3,600 nits and variable refresh rates up to 120 Hz.

The phone's design has been met with criticism from the author, who is not a fan of the asymmetrical design that features a curved corner cutout when closed and slightly different thicknesses on the two halves when opened. The fold line in the middle of the screen is also noticeable.

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold lacks some high-end camera features found in its Pro siblings, likely due to form-factor limitations, and has more in common with the regular Pixel 11. It does come with a new feature called HiLight, which uses color LEDs in the camera module's flash to light up different colors based on who is calling or swirled through the rainbow while chatting.

Performance-wise, the phone runs smoothly most of the time but was observed to freeze occasionally in split-screen view and after launching an app on the outer display. It is available in two colors: Obsidian and Olive Green.
