Pixel 11 Pro Fold's Hidden App Cloning Feature Revealed

Khumail, a tech writer, recently discovered a hidden feature on his Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold that allows him to clone apps and create a separate space within the device. The feature is called Private Space, which was introduced with Android 15 as a privacy feature.

Private Space lets users create a sandboxed experience within their smartphone, separating their personal and professional life. Khumail decided to use this feature as an app cloner, despite its restrictions on notifications and background activity.

He set up his Private Space by going to Settings, tapping Security and privacy, and scrolling down to Private space. He then created a second account for Pokémon Go and tested it by walking around the block while his phone was locked.

The result was a satisfying experience of playing two apps simultaneously on different accounts, with location tracking enabled. Khumail notes that this feature is not ideal, but it meets his needs as a power user who demands multitasking capabilities from their device.
