Pixel 11 Pro Wins Back Tech Journalist's Heart
Google's Pixel 11 Pro has reminded tech journalist Larry Magid of why he loved Google phones in the first place. The high-end flagship offers an uncluttered, pure version of Android and Google apps, as well as immediate access to operating system updates.
The device features a new Tensor G6 processor that is 50% more powerful than its predecessor, allowing for improved computational photography and AI capabilities. One notable feature is Rambler, a speech-to-text system that allows users to dictate text without displaying it in real-time until finished.
Magid was impressed with the Pro camera system's ability to capture extreme digital zoom images, including one taken at 50x zoom of a car over a block away. The device also features Magic Capture, which records video while picking out individual moments and turning them into still pictures.
