Pixel 11 Receives Early September Update Ahead of Android 17 QPR1
The Pixel 11 series is receiving an early September update, not Android 17 QPR1 as previously expected. The update includes a September 2026 security patch and comes after some users reported not receiving last week's OTA (over-the-air) update.
The update is labeled 'Sep 2026' and is available for the Pixel 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro XL, and 11 Pro Fold. The size of the update is around 97~ MB, making it a relatively small download.
Google has yet to announce the Android 17 QPR1 update, which was previously expected in September. It's likely that this early update is a hot patch for Pixel 11 issues discovered since last month's launch.
