Pixel 11 Refines the Formula, But Raises the Price
The Google Pixel 11 is out, and it's not a revolutionary upgrade from its predecessor. In fact, it's more of an iterative refinement, retaining many features from last year's model while adding some minor improvements.
The phone sports the same 6.3-inch 'Actua' display as before, with a lovely and bright screen that can reach up to 3,000 nits of brightness. The camera system has been tweaked slightly, with an updated main sensor and improved telephoto capabilities, including a new 'Super Zoom' mode that allows for up to 30x digital zoom.
The Pixel 11's camera system is still one of its standout features, particularly the inclusion of a 5x telephoto lens, which sets it apart from other flagship devices like the iPhone 17 and Galaxy S26. While some may find the price hike to $899 (up from last year's model) steep, those who have older Pixel phones will appreciate the upgrade.
The phone also features some useful software tweaks, such as Camera Looks, which allows for customizable filters and editing options, and Magic Capture, a feature that automatically generates edited photos and videos from a short video recording.
