Pixel 11 Repairability Features Outshine Gemini and Tensor G6
The recent Google Pixel 11 release has been overshadowed by its Gemini features and Tensor G6 processor, but one of its most important aspects is often overlooked. According to Android Police, the Pixel 11's repairability features are a significant improvement over previous models.
One of the key features of the Pixel 11 is its official EU repairability grade of Class B, which means it can be easily disassembled and repaired. This is thanks in part to European regulations that require manufacturers to design for disassembly and provide critical spare parts for seven years after a device leaves the market.
Android Police notes that while the Pixel 11's battery may not survive seven years of updates, its repairability features make it easier to maintain and replace components. For example, a $50 DIY kit can be used to replace a worn-out charging port or cracked screen.
