Pixel 11 Users Can Save Any Camera Look as Default Setting

The Pixel 11 series has been out for some time now, and users are getting familiar with its camera features. One of the notable changes is the ability to use any camera look as a default setting. According to Google's PR team, it appears that users were initially limited to four 'default' looks: Original, Natural, Shadows, and Vanilla.

However, this was not the case. Users can save any of the unique styles, such as Velvet, Classic, or Digi, as their standard preset option. To do so, go to the camera app settings, tap the triple-dot overflow menu icon in the upper-right corner, and toggle 'Always use selected look' on under the Photo menu options.

Once you've done this, selecting any of Google's non-default options will be saved as your preference when you leave the app. This means that whenever one of these more stylized options is selected as your main shooting mode, its name will appear in the lower-right corner, along with a purple Looks icon.

While it's great to see that Google allows users to save any shooting modes as their default preference, some may find this feature a bit convoluted. The Camera Looks menu has been criticized for being split into two different experiences, which can be confusing at times.
