Pixel Tablet Quietly Gains Quick Share Support for iPhone Transfers

Google has quietly added support for Quick Share transfers to Apple iPhones via AirDrop on its Pixel Tablet. This feature was previously limited to select smartphones, but now users of the 2023 tablet can share files with their iPhone-owning friends and family.

The addition of Quick Share support for tablets doesn't appear in the official Quick Share FAQs page, which lists only mobile devices as supported. However, a small note at the bottom of the page reveals that the feature works on both 'mobile devices and tablets.'

It's unclear exactly when this change was made, but a tip from Joe Lenington suggests it happened recently. The screenshot shows the Quick Share interface with an iPhone listed as a recipient.
