Pixel Tag Falls Flat in Design Department
The Pixel Tag is Google's latest foray into tracking devices, but it falls short in terms of design.
With a singular color option called 'Fog', encased in stainless steel and adorned with Google's logo, the Pixel Tag follows a trend seen in Apple's AirTag and Samsung's SmartTag2.
However, this approach lacks individuality, a trait that Google has mastered in other hardware, such as its Nest Mini and Nest Audio devices.
The Pixel Tag boasts impressive technical specifications, including a slim 5.4mm thickness, an IP67 rating for durability, and the ability to run on a CR2032 battery with a year's life.
Its integration into Google's ecosystem allows for recovery even without proximity to your device, utilizing Ultra Wideband paired with Bluetooth Channel Sounding for precise location details.
