Pixel Users Report Touchscreen Issues on Android 17
Google Pixel users are reporting touchscreen issues on Android 17. The problem is not new, but it has resurfaced in a different form.
The issues began after the rollout of Android 17 on June 16, 2026. Multiple users reported unresponsive touchscreens and touch input delays when using full-screen apps or games. Although Google initially addressed the issue partially, it has reappeared with new symptoms.
Some Pixel owners have shared videos showing their devices' screens becoming completely unresponsive during gaming sessions on Android 17. The problem is not limited to specific areas of the screen but affects the entire display in some cases.
The company's support staff has acknowledged the issue, asking affected users if a reboot resolves the problem. Given Google's practice of bundling major bug fixes into its monthly Pixel Drops, it's likely that a fix will arrive soon.
