Google is set to unveil its Pixel Watch 5 at its upcoming Made by Google event, with a special Steph Curry Edition leak suggesting a unique water-repellent strap featuring the NBA star's name and hashtag #LockedIn.

The watch itself appears nearly identical to the Pixel Watch 4, with only the strap changing. The Curry Special Edition strap is limited to the larger 45mm LTE model and may be priced around €579.99 at launch near August 20th.

Google's teaser video takes a playful jab at competitors' square smartwatch designs, but some experts argue that this move might be short-sighted, particularly given the NBA's American roots.
