Pixel Watch 5 Upgrades Don't Justify $50 Price Hike, Says Review
The Pixel Watch 5 has been released by Google, and it's time to compare it to its predecessor, the Pixel Watch 4. The new watch comes with a higher price tag, starting at $399.99 for the Bluetooth-only model, and going up to $529.99 for the LTE-enabled model.
The main upgrades in the Pixel Watch 5 include an upgraded processor with a 12% boost in CPU performance, more RAM (3GB) and storage (64GB), and new health features such as blood pressure and insulin resistance tracking. The watch also comes with the same curved screen and design as its predecessor.
The battery life of the Pixel Watch 5 is slightly longer than the Pixel Watch 4, but both watches can last up to 40 hours on a single charge. The Pixel Watch 5 also has improved AI performance thanks to its Accelerated processor, which makes it more capable in tasks such as answering questions and providing proactive assistance.
In terms of design, the Pixel Watch 5 is nearly identical to the Pixel Watch 4, with the same curved screen and dustproof build. Both watches support automatic and manual tracking for a wide range of activities and exercises, and provide features like sleep tracking and Daily Readiness scores.
