Pixxel Secures Record $100 Million Funding Round Led by Temasek and Seraphim
Indian space tech startup Pixxel has secured $100 million in its latest funding round, led by Singapore state investor Temasek and British space-technology venture firm Seraphim. This marks the single-largest funding round by a space technology company in India.
The Google-backed startup's total funding now stands at $195 million, with new investors 360 ONE Asset and IMM Investment joining existing backers Radical Ventures and growX Ventures.
Pixxel was founded by Awais Ahmed and began with hyperspectral satellites that can reveal information about the Earth's surface beyond what conventional imagery can capture. The company has since expanded its scope to include Aurora, an Earth intelligence software, and satellite systems for commercial and sovereign space missions.
The fresh capital will help Pixxel expand its sensing capabilities through its Honeybee satellite constellation and high-resolution optical imaging satellites, while further developing Aurora as a platform that combines these datasets into decision-ready insights.
