PLDT Equips Iloilo SMEs for Digital Future
Over a hundred small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from Iloilo City gathered for SME Day Iloilo, an event organized by PLDT's B2B arm, PLDT Enterprise. The goal of the conference was to equip these businesses with the knowledge and technology they need to thrive in today's fast-evolving business landscape.
Expert-led sessions were conducted by PLDT Enterprise, ePLDT, VITRO, Inc., and Cisco Meraki, covering topics such as 5G connectivity, resilient data centers, cybersecurity solutions, and applications designed to enhance business operations. These discussions aimed to help SMEs protect their businesses and ensure continuity.
Atty. Fydah Marie Sabandoh Del Rosario, Head of the Data Assessment and System Management Office of the Iloilo City Government, highlighted the importance of SMEs in creating jobs and contributing to the local economy. PLDT Enterprise Vice President John Eric S. Alviz emphasized the company's commitment to supporting businesses with the right tools and solutions.
One of the keynote speakers, Atty. Fritzie Gayle Diez-Treñas from JD Bakery Café, shared her experience on how digital transformation has helped streamline their operations and make their business future-ready. She encouraged entrepreneurs to see digital transformation as an opportunity for growth and innovation.
