Pokémon Meets McDonald's: Happy Meals Feature Every Generation's Starters
The Pokémon franchise is celebrating its 30th anniversary in style, partnering with McDonald's Japan to release limited-edition Happy Meals featuring 30 different Pokémon species. The promotion will run in three rounds, starting on August 7, with six new toys available each time.
Round one features disc-shooting and ring toss toys for the Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, Galar, and Paldea region starters. The Pikachu Poké Ball Roller is also part of this group, allowing kids to push a ball forward with Pikachu's adorable wagging tail.
Round two brings more spinners and shooters for the same regions, as well as the Eevee Poké Ball Roller and Snorlax Name Tag. The toys will represent all 27 starter Pokémon from nine generations of games so far, plus Pikachu, Eevee, and Snorlax.
McDonald's Japan is limiting purchases to six Happy Meals per customer group on August 7, 8, and 9, and online orders will only be available through the official McDonald's Delivery Service. Round two starts on August 14, and round three begins on August 21 with an indefinite run.
