Power BI Drill Mode Gets a Boost with New Hierarchy Feature

Building a hierarchy to support drill mode in Microsoft Power BI is crucial for data exploration. Users want to see both high-level and detailed information, but this can be tedious work if done manually.

A hierarchy is a set of fields structured by levels, allowing users to drill down through lower levels while maintaining a consistent order.

To add a new hierarchy in Power BI, navigate to the Model pane, browse to the Sales Territory table, and right-click on the Country field. Choose 'Create Hierarchy' from the menu.
