Prime Air Boeing 767 Overruns Runway at Miami International Airport

A Prime Air Boeing 767-300F aircraft, identified as N1997A and operating Cargo South flight 7598 for Amazon Prime Air, overran Runway 30 at Miami International Airport on Sunday after arriving from San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The incident triggered a major emergency response and air traffic restrictions around the airport. The aircraft continued beyond the end of Runway 30 after landing and came to rest outside the paved runway area near airport infrastructure.

Heavy black smoke and flames were reported from the aircraft as emergency crews responded, imposing air traffic restrictions around Miami as authorities worked to secure the affected area and manage airport operations.
