Prime Members Miss Out on Thousands in Savings
Millions of Amazon Prime members are leaving money on the table by not taking advantage of their membership's lesser-known perks, savings experts say. The $139-a-year membership is often associated with fast and free shipping, but it offers much more than that.
Kristin McGrath, an editor at The Krazy Coupon Lady, says Prime members are only scratching the surface of what their membership includes. For example, they get free photo storage, Prime Reading and access to free Kindle books, video games through Amazon Luna, grocery delivery, and even free GrubHub+ with no delivery fees.
McGrath also notes that Prime members can save at the pump, with discounts of up to 50 cents off per gallon. However, she advises shoppers to gauge whether a membership is worth it for them personally and to choose the one that matches their shopping habits.
