Primo Piatto at Disney's Riviera Resort: A Hidden Gem Worth Leaving the Parks For
The Primo Piatto quick service restaurant at Disney's Riviera Resort is a hidden gem that offers great food and tranquil views, making it worth leaving the parks for. The restaurant is easily accessible via the Skyliner gondola system from EPCOT or Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Guests can choose to sit in a small dining room with booths and tables or head outside to one of the pleasant courtyard areas. The restaurant displays photographs of Walt and Lillian Disney on a European vacation in 1935, which allegedly inspired many of their animated films.
The menu at Primo Piatto offers a variety of options, mostly priced under $20, including salads, soups, and entrées such as the Grilled Chicken Sandwich ($13.19) with a side of fruit cup. The Riviera Signature Cookie is also available for $4.79.
A cast member brought the food directly to my table, which was unexpected since this is a quick service restaurant. I tried the orange cream soda from the Coca-Cola Freestyle machine and enjoyed it. Overall, Primo Piatto offers great value for its price and is worth visiting during a Disney trip.
