Procter & Gamble Attracts Large Institutional Investment Amid Strong Earnings
Corient Private Wealth LP has made a significant investment in Procter & Gamble Company (The) NYSE: PG, acquiring approximately $335.9 million worth of shares during the second quarter. The fund purchased 3,035,550 shares, representing 0.13% of Procter & Gamble's outstanding stock.
This is not an isolated instance of investment in P&G, as several other institutional investors and hedge funds have also modified their holdings of the company's stock. BlackRock Inc., for example, acquired a new position valued at $27.9 billion during the second quarter. Similarly, Norges Bank bought a new position worth about $4.7 billion in the fourth quarter.
Procter & Gamble has reported earnings per share (EPS) of $1.43 for the latest quarter, exceeding analysts' expectations by 0.02 dollars. The company's revenue was up 1.5% compared to the same period last year. P&G has set its FY 2027 guidance at 6.890-7.110 EPS.
