Procter & Gamble Earnings Forecast Revised Downward by Zacks Research
Procter & Gamble's (NYSE:PG) earnings forecast has been revised downward by Zacks Research. In a note to investors on August 12th, Zacks analysts lowered their Q1 2027 EPS estimate for PG from $1.96 to $1.89. This adjustment was made despite the company topping consensus estimates in its last quarterly earnings report with a profit of $1.43 per share.
The downward revision is part of a mixed bag of estimates, as Zacks also increased their forecasts for Q3 and Q4 2027 earnings. However, the firm's FY2027 estimate was reduced from $7.05 to $6.97. For fiscal year 2028, the analysts cut their projections for Q1 and Q2 EPS, while leaving Q3 unchanged.
The possible impact of rising gasoline prices on household budgets and consumer spending may also weigh on PG's sales growth and margins, as mentioned in a separate note. Despite this concern, Zacks still projects earnings growth over the longer term, including estimated fiscal 2029 EPS of $7.85.
