Procter & Gamble Scoops Up Thorne for $3.8 Billion
Procter & Gamble (PG) is expanding its health and wellness division with the acquisition of privately held supplements provider Thorne for $3.8 billion.
The deal marks a strategic move by PG to reach younger consumers, as supplements have seen a surge in popularity among those under 40, particularly through direct-to-consumer sales.
PG already owns several supplement brands, including Metamucil and New Chapter vitamins, but the Thorne acquisition will significantly boost its presence in this market.
