Public Employees Retirement System of Ohio has acquired a new stake in Walmart Inc. (NASDAQ:WMT) during the second quarter, according to its recent filing with the Securities & Exchange Commission.

The institutional investor bought 1,745,623 shares of the retailer's stock, valued at approximately $197,709,000, making it the 26th largest position in their investment portfolio, which comprises about 0.6% of Walmart's shares.

This is not an isolated case; other large investors have also bought and sold shares of WMT. For instance, Brighton Jones LLC increased its stake by 28.8% during the fourth quarter and now owns 98,150 shares worth $8,868,000.

Walmart's quarterly earnings results, announced on August 20th, showed a strong performance with revenue reaching approximately $187.94 billion, an increase of 5.9% compared to the same period last year.
