Publicis Wins PepsiCo Global Media Account, Impacts Coca-Cola Relationship
Coca-Cola is reassessing its media relationship with Publicis Groupe in North America following Publicis's recent appointment to rival PepsiCo's global media account.
The development comes after Publicis won PepsiCo's global media business, marking the end of Omnicom's longstanding relationship with the beverage and snacks giant.
PepsiCo confirmed the appointment, outlining a new AI- and data-driven media model that will integrate strategy, planning, activation, connected identity, and technology across its portfolio in over 200 markets.
The new mandate is expected to have implications for Publicis's existing relationship with Coca-Cola. The agency group is reportedly stepping back from the ongoing review of the remaining portion of Coca-Cola's global media business, estimated to be worth around $4 billion.
