Publisher's Demise: What's Next for Graphic Design on Windows

Microsoft Publisher will soon be no more, and users are scrambling to find an alternative. After 35 years as the default Windows graphic design app, Microsoft has announced that it will be discontinued in October.

For those who need a simple layout app, PowerPoint is a viable option. Users can set up a document with standard page sizes and use Master Slides and Master Layouts to create templates for others to use.

Other alternatives include Google Docs, which offers many of the same capabilities as Publisher but with some limitations. Adobe Express is another option, providing high-quality fonts and professional photography tools in its free version.
