Qatar Airways has reached another milestone in its Starlink rollout, becoming the first airline to operate Starlink-equipped Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The airline completed the rollout of Starlink across its Boeing 787-8 sub-fleet in just seven months, bringing its total number of Starlink-equipped widebody aircraft to 150.

The carrier remains on track to equip its entire Boeing 787 fleet with Starlink by the end of 2026. This achievement is part of Qatar Airways' efforts to bring high-speed inflight connectivity to its passengers, offering WiFi speeds of up to 500 Mbps.

With over 23 million passengers connecting to Starlink onboard since its launch in October 2024, and more than 86,000 flights equipped with the technology, Qatar Airways is making fast and seamless connectivity an increasingly familiar part of its passenger experience.
