Qatari Jet's Future in Question as Trump's Presidential Library Plans Shift
President Donald Trump's plan to display a Boeing Co. (NYSE:BA) jet donated by Qatar at his presidential library may be changing, according to The New York Times.
The Qatari aircraft, which has undergone significant upgrades, was originally intended for Trump's library after he left office.
However, a White House official told The New York Times that no final decision has been made on the jet's future, and it may be retained as a third Air Force One or repurposed for travel by other federal government officials.
The aircraft is scheduled to receive additional enhancements this fall, and a previously undisclosed memo concluded that accepting the gift was legal and that the plane could later be transferred to Trump's library.
