QC Ware Shows Hybrid Quantum-Classical Chemistry Workflow with Promethium and IBM Quantum
A technology demonstration of a hybrid quantum-classical workflow using Promethium and IBM Quantum hardware has been announced by QC Ware. The company calculated electrostatic interaction energy for nitric oxide reductase, combining GPU-accelerated molecular modeling and classical chemistry methods with quantum measurements performed on IBM's 156-qubit Heron superconducting quantum processor.
The demonstration highlights how Promethium can be used alongside quantum hardware in scientifically relevant workflows. This technology demonstration is not currently a fully integrated Promethium product capability, but rather a proof of concept for future hybrid workflows.
QC Ware's Co-Founder and COO Dr. Kin-Joe Sham stated that the demonstration shows how classical and quantum computing can be combined to address meaningful computational chemistry problems. The company believes that Promethium delivers high-performance computational chemistry today while providing a foundation for exploring future hybrid workflows.
