Quaker Houghton's HOCUT 4260 Receives Boeing BAC 5008 Approval
Quaker Houghton's metalworking fluid, HOCUT 4260, has received approval from Boeing's BAC 5008 specification. This is a significant milestone for the company and its commitment to delivering fluid technology that meets aerospace manufacturing standards.
HOCUT 4260 is a boron-free and formaldehyde-free coolant developed for machining various aerospace materials, including aluminium alloys, fibre composites, titanium alloys, high-alloy steel, and stainless steel. The product offers several key performance benefits, such as extended tool life, high detergency, and very long sump life.
Quaker Houghton's global director of aerospace and defence, Jonathan Dilley, stated that earning Boeing's BAC 5008 approval is a testament to the fluid's consistent performance in demanding aerospace manufacturing environments.
