Qualcomm and Amazon Unveil Multi-Generational AI Partnership
Qualcomm Technologies Inc., the company behind Qualcomm stock (NASDAQ:QCOM), is trading higher after announcing a significant partnership with Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) to develop next-generation AI data center infrastructure.
The multi-generational collaboration will see Qualcomm and Amazon work together on customized silicon, supporting AWS's growing AI infrastructure and developing advanced optical connectivity solutions with speeds reaching up to 1.6T.
Qualcomm plans to deepen its use of AWS AI infrastructure, including Amazon Bedrock, for electronic design automation workloads aimed at reducing chip design cycles.
Cristiano Amon, President and CEO of Qualcomm, stated that as AI demand accelerates, data center infrastructure will require advances in both computing and connectivity to deliver greater performance with more efficiency.
