Amazon has made an arrangement worth billions of dollars with Qualcomm (NASDAQ: QCOM), which could pave the way for further expansion into the data center market for the chipmaker. This news comes as a potential boost to Qualcomm's stock price.

The agreement with Amazon is expected to open doors for Qualcomm in the data center market, an area where it has been seeking to expand its presence. The Motley Fool Stock Advisor analyst team recently published their top 10 list of stocks for investors to buy now, and surprisingly, Qualcomm did not make the cut.

However, it's worth noting that the Motley Fool has a track record of outperforming the S&P 500 with an average return of 942% compared to 211%. The team recommends investing in Amazon (which they also recommend) and other stocks on their top 10 list. If you had invested $1,000 in Netflix when it made the list in December 2004 or Nvidia when it made the list in April 2005, you would have seen significant returns.
