Quanovate Drops Claims After P&G Challenge Over Fertility Monitor Ads
Quanovate Tech, Inc., the maker of the Mira Fertility Monitor and Test Wands, has voluntarily dropped several advertising claims after a challenge from Procter & Gamble (P&G). The dispute was brought to the National Advertising Division (NAD), which reviews national advertising across all media. Quanovate agreed to discontinue the claims rather than contesting them.
The challenged claims were comparative, performance, and superiority claims made by Quanovate in its advertising for the Mira Fertility Monitor and Test Wands. P&G competes directly with Quanovate in the fertility monitor and test wand market, making this a significant dispute for both companies.
By voluntarily withdrawing the claims, Quanovate is held to the same compliance standards as companies that receive a direct NAD ruling against their advertising. The National Advertising Division reviews national advertising across all media, with its decisions designed to set consistent standards for truthfulness and accuracy in advertising throughout the country.
