Quantum Computing Stock Soars on Explosive Revenue Growth
Quantum Computing Inc., QUBT, reported explosive second-quarter revenue growth of over 9,000% to $5.6 million, compared to a modest $61,000 in the same period last year.
This staggering increase was driven by photonics product shipments targeting government agencies, academic institutions, and commercial enterprises.
The company's shares traded at $8.91 on Aug. 21, participating in a sector-wide upward movement among seven quantum computing equities, including D-Wave (QBTS), Rigetti (RGTI), IonQ (IONQ), Infleqtion (INFQ), IQM (IQMX), and IBM.
The net loss contracted to $11.8 million from $36.5 million in the prior year, primarily due to reduced warrant derivative write-downs rather than operational improvements.
