QuickLink Boosts Remote Contribution Platform with WhatsApp, Webex, and Enhanced Microsoft Teams
QuickLink has enhanced its StudioEdge remote contribution platform to support WhatsApp and Cisco Webex in addition to Microsoft Teams. This update will be showcased at IBC 2026 (Stand 7.C19). The existing integration with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and StudioCall has been expanded to include these new platforms.
With this upgrade, producers can connect participants using the tools they rely on daily, reducing barriers for contributors and simplifying workflows across broadcast, media, and enterprise environments. Additionally, the latest Microsoft Teams enhancements extend StudioEdge's flexibility, allowing multiple callers from a single Teams meeting, join notifications, active speaker and screen sharing support, and compatibility with Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) setups.
According to QuickLink CEO Richard Rees, 'Remote contribution is now a fundamental part of modern production, and flexibility is key to making it work.' He adds that StudioEdge gives production teams greater choice in how they connect remote contributors while allowing guests to participate through the platforms they already use.
