RAM Expands Fleet to 69 with Delivery of 18th Boeing 737 MAX 8
Royal Air Maroc (RAM), Morocco's flagship carrier, has expanded its fleet of Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft to 18. The delivery, which took place in Casablanca on Thursday, brings the airline's total fleet to 69 planes. According to a 2023 agreement with the Moroccan government, RAM aims to quadruple its fleet to 200 aircraft by 2037.
The carrier plans to add an average of 10 to 15 aircraft annually as part of this expansion plan. To increase capacity while awaiting future deliveries, the airline is also using leased aircraft. In 2024, RAM launched an international tender for up to 200 aircraft, inviting Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, and ATR to participate.
