Razorpay Bolsters AI Leadership with Strategic Hires from Tech Giants
Razorpay, an Indian fintech unicorn, has strengthened its artificial intelligence (AI) division by hiring senior engineering talent from top companies like Microsoft, Salesforce, and CRED. The move is part of Razorpay's strategy to develop AI-centric financial infrastructure that can support autonomous financial decision-making.
The new recruits include Sudhir Reddy, the former CTO and co-founder of Divyam.ai, who will spearhead AI and data architecture initiatives as a senior-most individual contributor. Abhishek Agarwal, Bhavya Shivaprakash, and Anuj Mathur have also joined Razorpay from Microsoft, Salesforce, and CRED respectively.
Razorpay's co-founder and CTO, Shashank Kumar, predicts that the next decade of financial infrastructure will be constructed differently from the previous one. He believes software will no longer merely assist businesses but will increasingly possess the capability to reason, decide, and act on behalf of enterprises.
