Red Hat Engineer Jonathan Trossbach Dies at 33
Jonathan Trossbach, a 33-year-old from Schuylerville, New York, tragically passed away on August 18, 2026. He was born to Colleen M. and Robert D. Trossbach in 1993.
Trossbach graduated from Clarkson University with a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Math in 2015, followed by a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from New York University (NYU) in 2021.
He worked at PJ's BBQ and Parker MX, where he developed a passion for motocross. Trossbach then taught at The NorthStar Independent School in Holyoke, Massachusetts, before moving to New Hampshire to work for Red Hat (IBM) in cloud computing.
Trossbach was known for his love of nature and traveling, having visited places like Belarus, Iceland, Norway, British Columbia, Switzerland, and Japan. He also had a strong connection to the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, where he purchased a home on New Found Lake.
