Representative Gottheimer Sells IBM Stock Amid Mixed Performance

Instruments
IBM
Share

Representative Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ) recently sold between $1,001 and $15,000 in International Business Machines (IBM) stock on July 16th. This transaction was disclosed in a filing made public on August 10th.

In addition to selling IBM shares, Representative Gottheimer has also been actively buying stocks in other companies. Between July 16th and July 24th, he purchased between $1,001 and $15,000 worth of shares in GOOGN, GOOGM, SAIL, NICE, MNST, PANW, and CCI.

IBM's stock performance has been mixed in recent times. The company reported a revenue of $17.16 billion for the quarter, exceeding analyst expectations. However, the firm also raised CAD 997.11 million through fixed-rate notes with a maturity date in 2034.

Risk concerns remain despite IBM's efforts to turn AI demand into cloud revenue through its partnership with Together AI. Some analysts and commentators have questioned whether massive industry-wide AI infrastructure spending can generate adequate returns.
