Restore Date Grid View in Google Photos Redesign

Google Photos redesigned its interface earlier this year, and for some users, that meant losing a key feature they relied on. One such user is Joe Maring from Android Authority, who had grown accustomed to seeing photos organized by date in his Google Photos feed.

This feature allowed him to quickly scroll through his photos and remember what he was doing on specific dates. However, after the redesign, this feature quietly disappeared.

Fortunately, there is a way to bring it back. By navigating to the app settings and enabling the 'Show dates in grid' option, users can restore their Google Photos feed to its former glory.

The redesign aimed for a cleaner appearance with a floating bar UI at the bottom navigation area, but some users feel that this came at the cost of functionality.
