Retired Officer Resigns from Ciscomani's Veterans Council Over Leadership Concerns

A retired U.S. Army officer has resigned from Congressman Ciscomani's Veterans Advisory Council, citing a lack of confidence in the congressman's leadership and willingness to exercise independent judgment.

Tom Davis, who served 32 years on active duty, stated that he made the decision because he no longer believed Ciscomani was fulfilling his oath to the Constitution. As a member of Congress, Ciscomani is responsible for overseeing the Executive Branch and demanding accountability.

Davis expressed concern about the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)-driven reductions in the federal workforce, which he believes could have severe consequences for veterans.

He also pointed to a minority staff report released by Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee Ranking Member Richard Blumenthal, which alleged serious problems within the Department of Veterans Affairs, including historic staffing losses and internal issues.
